What are the eligibility requirements?

Malaysian citizen, aged 18–30, currently unemployed, Diploma/Degree holder, no prior government programmes (MySTEP, PROTÉGÉ, etc.), able to commit full-time for 4 months, with interest in Digital & Technology.
What is the cost of the programme?

There is no cost to participants. In fact, you will receive a monthly allowance of approximately RM 2,000 throughout the programme.
What is the overall programme structure?

The programme runs for 4 months: 1 month of hybrid training followed by 3 months of On-the-Job Training (OJT). OJT is conducted fully on-site.
Will I receive a certificate upon completion?

Do I need to pay for the programme certificates?

Candidates will primarily receive an Offer Letter from Pepper Labs. Further placement details and arrangements with the Host Company will be communicated accordingly if required.
Should I wait for the placement letter from the Host Company before signing the Offer Letter from Pepper Labs?

No. Once you sign the Offer Letter from Pepper Labs, you will already be considered a confirmed candidate under the programme.
Are host companies under Pepper Labs?

No. Host companies are external organisations. If your preferred company is not listed, they will need to register under the programme to participate.
Are there placements outside Klang Valley?

Currently, placements are only available within Klang Valley. Updates will be shared if opportunities outside the area become available.
Do I need to relocate to Kuala Lumpur if I am currently based in Kuching?

Relocation depends on the location of your assigned Host Company. If you receive an offer from a company located in Peninsular Malaysia, relocation may be required.
How do I access my salary slip, and which platform is used for payroll?

How will I be notified if my application has been accepted?

If I am on medical leave, do I need to notify Pepper Labs and submit my MC?

Yes. Candidates must first inform and discuss the matter with their direct supervisor and host company. After that, the Medical Certificate (MC) or Annual Leave (AL) documentation must also be submitted to Pepper Labs.

Will I be automatically disqualified if I cannot attend one of the Bootcamp days?

Bootcamp attendance is mandatory. However, if you are unable to attend any of the Bootcamp days due to unavoidable circumstances, you may apply for Annual Leave (AL) subject to approval.
What if I get a job during the programme?

You are encouraged to pursue job opportunities. If you secure a permanent role, the programme team will assist with your transition out of the programme.
Can I join another company outside the Host Companies if I receive a better offer?

Yes, you may. However, once you have officially joined the programme, you are required to provide a notice period of at least 2 weeks to 1 month before withdrawal.
What should I do if I receive another job offer before receiving any placement offer?

OJT Experience

What is On-the-Job Training (OJT)?

OJT is a minimum 15-week paid workplace placement where participants gain real industry experience and apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills.
